Effective date: October 12, 2026
Walk4Faith, a Living4Faith ministry (“Walk4Faith,” “we,” “us”), runs the Walk4Faith app on iPhone, Android and the web (app.walk4faith.com) and the website walk4faith.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email us at hello@walk4faith.com.
The short version: we collect only what the app needs to work. We never sell your information, we don’t show ads, and you can delete your account and everything in it at any time.
Information We Collect
Information you give us
Account details: when you sign up in the app or at walk4faith.com/join: your email address, a password (stored in scrambled, “hashed” form, so no one, including us, can read it), the display name you choose and your avatar.
Prayer requests you post to the Prayer Wall. These are shared with other members (with your display name unless you post anonymously), and you can delete them.
Journal entries such as gratitude and acts of service. These are private to you.
Reward orders: the rewards you choose and any note you add, such as a shirt size or pickup location.
Church requests: if you ask to add your church, the church name, address and service times you enter.
Messages you send us by email.
Information from Facebook or Apple sign-in
If you choose Continue with Facebook, Facebook shares your public profile (your name and profile picture) and your email address with us. We use your first name as your starting display name (you can change it) and your email to identify your account. We don’t post to Facebook, see your friends list, or receive anything else.
If you choose Sign in with Apple, Apple shares your name and an email address. If you choose “Hide My Email,” Apple gives us a private relay address that forwards to you.
Information created as you use the app
Your daily walk: the steps you complete each day (for example reading the Bible, praying for someone, or watching a devotional), the points you earn, your streaks and your badges.
Church check-ins: the church and date you checked in.
Leaderboards: your display name, avatar and points for the month, the year and all time appear on the leaderboards. You can hide yourself in Profile.
Friends and groups: friend requests, your friends list, the accountability groups you join, prayer requests you share in a group, and encouragement you send or receive.
Home Church: the church you choose as your Home Church, if any.
Safety reports you make about prayer requests, and members you choose to block.
Basic technical information our hosting provider records to keep the service running and secure, such as sign-in times and IP address.
Camera, location and notifications
Camera: used only to scan church check-in QR codes. No photos or video are saved or sent to us.
Location: used only at the moment you check in with a printed code, to confirm you are at the church. Your location is checked once and is not stored. The app does not track your location in the background.
Notifications: daily reminders are scheduled on your own phone. You can change or turn them off in the app or in your phone’s settings.
You can say no to any of these permissions. The rest of the app still works.
How We Use Your Information
To run the app: sign you in, record your daily steps, award points and badges, and show the leaderboard and Prayer Wall.
To fulfill rewards you order with your points.
To keep the community safe: reviewing reported posts, filtering inappropriate words and preventing abuse.
To send account emails, such as confirming your email address, and to answer your messages.
To understand overall use (for example, how many members completed a step) so we can improve the ministry.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build profiles of you for anyone else.
Who Can See Your Information
Other members can see your display name and avatar, your points on the leaderboards (unless you hide yourself), and the prayer requests you post on the Prayer Wall (without your name if you post anonymously). They can also see your profile: the month you joined, your total points, current streak, leaderboard ranks, badges and Home Church. If you make your profile Private, only your friends can see these details.
Members of your accountability groups can see your points and days walked this week, your streak, whether you walked today, and the prayer requests you share in that group.
Other members can’t see your email, journal or check-ins.
Walk4Faith staff (our app administrators) can see account details such as your email address, points, badges, check-ins and reward orders, and reported prayer requests, so they can run the ministry, help members, keep the community safe and deliver rewards. Staff don’t read private journal entries.
We Never Sell Your Information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone, ever. We share it only in these limited cases:
Service providers that run the app for us, under their own privacy and security commitments: Supabase (secure database, sign-in and storage), our web host, and Apple and Google (app stores and notifications).
Reward vendors: if you order a reward, we may give the vendor only what they need to deliver it, such as your name and order note.
Embedded videos: devotional and study videos play from YouTube, which may collect information under Google’s Privacy Policy when you play them.
When the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our members or others.
The Walk4Faith Website
walk4faith.com uses only the cookies WordPress needs to work (for example, if you log in to the site). We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and our fonts are hosted on our own site.
How Long We Keep It
We keep your information while your account is open. Prayer requests leave the Prayer Wall after a set number of days unless they are pinned. When you delete your account, your information is permanently erased, usually right away, and from backups within 30 days. Churches you asked us to add stay listed, but are no longer linked to you. Our staff activity log may keep a short note of actions staff took on your account (such as delivering a reward) for security and record-keeping.
Delete Your Account and Data
You can delete your Walk4Faith account and all of its data at any time:
In the app: go to Profile › Delete My Account and confirm. This immediately and permanently deletes your account, points, badges, journal entries, check-ins, reward orders and prayer requests.
By email: write to hello@walk4faith.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We’ll do so within 30 days and let you know when it’s done.
Step-by-step instructions are on our Delete Your Account page.
If you signed in with Facebook, you can also remove Walk4Faith in Facebook under Settings & privacy › Settings › Apps and websites. Removing it there does not delete your Walk4Faith data, so also use one of the methods above, or ask us to delete your data using either method above.
Your Choices
Change your display name and avatar, hide yourself from the leaderboards, or make your profile Private, in Profile.
Accept or decline friend requests and group invitations, remove friends, and leave groups at any time.
Post prayer requests anonymously, or delete them at any time.
Turn reminders, camera or location access on or off.
Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct it, by emailing hello@walk4faith.com.
Security
Your information is stored with Supabase using encrypted connections, and each member can see only their own private data. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and don’t share it.
Children
Walk4Faith is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
If we make important changes, we’ll update the effective date above and let members know in the app.
